Third stay at this location was the best one yet

We had a beautiful unit at Sand Cay. Management was courteous and helpful. It was a wonderful stay.

We had a fun time overall staying at Sand Cay. However, our unit 316 was not our favorite. This unit needs updating. The sofa has seen better days. It was very uncomfortable to sit on, had stains and dirty. Lights on the fan for the kitchen didn’t work, kitchen bar stools did not stay in position when sat on and there needs to be new pots and pans for cooking. Tv remotes needed batteries. There also was no hangers for the clothes. Glad we had brought some of our own. The view from the balcony was very nice. We would definitely stay at Sand Cay again but not in this unit unless it was improved.

The location of the property is always fantastic. The unit needs major updates and repairs such as a ceiling fan, outdoor umbrella/glass table base blowing over with high wind, remotes, furniture. The staff is extremely accommodating and friendly. We have stayed in another unit on property and enjoyed ourselves, however, we would not stay in this unit again.

We had the most wonderful time and the best vacation ever at Sand Cay Beach Resort. We were only booked from Friday to Monday, but after the first day of staying there, we decided to add two more days on to our trip. It was that fantastic and lots of memories were made, and are already having it our annual trip for my daughter, myself and my granddaughters, and quite possibly bringing my husband down as well a different time so I can be there two times a year. The place was very clean. The grounds were kept very, very trimmed and clean. There is nothing bad to say about this place because it’s just more than relaxing and wonderful.

Overall it’s kind of a maze to access condos. If you’re on the 3rd floor there’s no covering on walkway so every time it rains which is does almost daily in FL in the summer, you have a very hard time staying dry. When it’s sunny the walkway flooring gets very hot so wear your shoes. Would be great if laundry facilities were in each condo. Not easy to carry down and back up especially on a rainy day. Living room furniture was old and worn. Beds were comfy. For the price, you can get much more for your money in other FL locations.

All in all this is a nice place. However, the interior of this unit is in need of some maintenance and updates. Some friendly suggestions are to make sure everything is properly functional. Some examples are the drain for the bath tub would not close, the chairs on the balcony need to have the pads on the leg bottoms replaced so the chairs do not wobble when you use them, the light dimming switches in the bedrooms were missing switch covers, noticed a couple a tears near the seams of the sofa, the ceiling fan in the kitchen did not function.

Nice, clean condo

We were very excited to see that the pictures of our condo were recent and were exactly the same in person. Our condo #316 was well appointed, the Office Team was wonderful. The grounds were lovely and kept pristine. The whole experience could not have been better. Choose The Beach House Restaurant, Whitney's, Marina Jacks, Gulf Drive Cafe - all wonderful!

Family vacay

Everything was great. Keys were left for check-in after hours.

We stayed in rental 316. The gulf view along with the view of the sunset was perfect! The beds were very comfortable, all the necessities we needed were right there in the unit. We enjoyed our stay!

Gorgeous Resort. This is the 4th unit we have stayed in. It was the worst, the porch was filthy, furniture all needs replacement, hard to find a pan to cook in that wasn't old bent and needed replacement, utensils all needed to be updated, $ 9.99 coffee pot only, junk. Bad old lighting, one of the fan/lights sparked when we turned it on, made us feel unsafe. Thankfully we enjoyed the beach and being outside most of the time. Don't rent#316!!

We stayed in unit 316 from Nov. 2-12. We had stayed there last year for the first time and found it to be a lovely, well maintained complex. There was always someone working around outside to keep things looking clean and neat.Unit 316 has a great view from the patio, with shade in the early day which is nice for morning and noon meals and warm sun for relaxing with some sangria later in the day. This unit, however needs some tlc. The master bed is very comfortable and the master shower is wider than some we've experienced with a seat, which is helpful for older folks like us. But the sofa is saggy in areas, there were almost no hangers (I had to actually purchase some), only 5 forks and knives. We only needed maintenance once, to reseat the screen door to the patio. And all the ladies in the office are so helpful. One helped me find a masseuse when my neck cramped up!We definitely will be back - am already looking at the other units for next year!

Very nice room, comfortable bed. Hard to beat the view.

I love coming here to Sand Cay. The staff in the office especially Melissa are just so easy to work with. They always want to make you happy and stress free for your vacation.

The condo is very comfortable and has everything one would need.

Maintenance problems were addressed.

Loved Sand Cay. The ladies in the office were wonderful . Made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. Will definitely be back.

We loved the view of the beach from this condo. The condo furniture is quite dated and the carpet in the bedrooms desperately needs to be replaced. We spent most of our time at the beach so I guess it doesn't really matter but these condos are pretty pricey for the level of comfort you get.

We had a wonderful vacation. The unit was perfect for us, the resort staff was friendly and helpful, the water was warm and calm and the weather was great.

Love Sand Cay but not unit 316

We greatly enjoyed our visit. Being that close to the beach was amazing. Our unit was in great shape.

The property has a great location on the beach. This unit has a fantastic view. It is overall well maintained with an updated kitchen. Three issues however...the dishwasher was old and didn't work well. Another "minor" issue is that the bedrooms have carpet that is older. In a beach property is should be replaced with tile. This unit does NOT have a washer / dryer in the unit (there are common ones in the office building), so would not be good for a month stay. Otherwise a great stay!

We had a very nice stay at the Sand Cay! This resort is very nice - we stayed in Unit 316 and there were both positives and negatives to it. Positives: Awesome view of the gulf, brand new appliances in the unit, Spacious. Negatives - the guest bedroom bed was very uncomfortable...you sank right into the middle of the mattress, no support at all. Thankfully my 16 year old slept here but he still woke up with backaches because of it. The carpet in the master bedroom really could stand a good cleaning or being replaced (for the money spent to rent the unit during holidays), a lot of dirt marks and the floor in the master bedroom must have some loose boards as it makes a lot of noise and I felt bad for the folks staying below us. The unit also did not have any baking pans such as cookie sheets etc so we did not have any of these for the duration of our stay. We did ask the front desk and they were very nice about it but unfortunately due to being booked completely they were not able to procure any from another unit. Also for wine drinkers - bring your own corkscrew - the one in the unit is not very user friendly. The office personnel were super friendly - the resort is beautiful and a great location. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay here - I just think the owners could stand to update this unit and make some improvements to it.

Excellent

This is our fourth stay here and it's was great from start to finish. Weather was perfect, unit was clean and had no issues. Nice the office had an extra umbrella they let us use for the 10 days. Nice the staff worked to keep things outside updated and clean. Rental office team very friendly and helpful.
