Unit #311

This condo has been a special place for my family for years. I first stayed here as a child, and returning as an adult with my family brought back so many wonderful memories. The condo is clean, comfortable, and feels like a home away from home. The location is perfect, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it easy to relax. It’s rare to find a place that remains just as welcoming over the years. I’m grateful for the memories I’ve made here and look forward to coming back again!

Our family stayed at Sand Cay Unit #311 for the second year at Thanksgiving. We really enjoy staying at this unit. Sand Cay is a beautiful resort and offers everything we need. We would definitely recommend it!

Love the Sand Cay property, the beach is pristine and access is so close! The condo is a little on the smaller side (especially bathrooms) but was clean. The furnishings in the family room and bedrooms seem a little worn/outdated. A decent sized lizard was in the condo on our first night there, maids probably left the door open. But we had a very enjoyable stay!

Overall, my husband and I had a pleasant experience. The unit itself is nicely furnished and very well equipped — especially the kitchen, which had all the utensils and cookware we needed. The location is another big plus. The condo is just steps from the beach, making it easy to go back and forth throughout the day. You really can’t beat the proximity to the ocean.That said, the cleanliness of the unit left something to be desired. While it had clearly been tidied up before our arrival, the cleaning felt very superficial. It seems like the condo hasn’t had a deep clean in quite some time. The rugs didn’t appear to have been vacuumed, and some side surfaces in the bathrooms (excluding the main fixtures) were dusty and untouched. Several pieces of furniture also had a layer of dust, which detracted from the otherwise well-maintained feel.Additionally, the pillows could use an update. I used an extra pillow found in the closet and it was very old and worn out — definitely in need of replacement.With a bit more attention to deep cleaning and refreshing some of the linens, this place could easily be a top-tier rental. We'd consider staying again if those areas were addressed, as the location and amenities are hard to beat.

The Sand Cay Beach Resort is a wonderful place in a great location. This was our third trip to Sand Cay, and we truly enjoyed our stay there. Our rental was comfortable and included an updated kitchen and new bathrooms. The staff at Sand Cay are wonderful and very helpful. The outside property is kept very clean. It was a wonderful time and we look forward to returning again soon.

We were very happy with the condo. They had recently renovated and the kitchen and bathrooms were very nicely done. They had recently only thing that needs to be done is a new bed in primary bedroom. It was very noisy, you couldn’t even turn over without waking the other person. It was not the mattress. The headboard was not attached to bed, that may have something to do with it.This was not a deal breaker, we would stay again. Just fix the bed.

This is a hidden treasure of a resort. It is not like nearby high rises but possesses a more intimate manner. Longboat Key is also less busy than nearby towns, which is to our preference. We stayed our first two years on the first floor and the last two on the third floor. This particular rental, #311, was remodeled in 2024. Although I left notes of what was not functioning at that time, those minor announces were not fixed (leaked gas between window panes making things look cloudy, switches that did not turn on anything, incomplete caulking of shower surround) when we returned this March.The unit was well furnished otherwise and very cleanly.

My family has been spending vacations at this unit since I was little. I’m so happy to bring my family to this special place. Noted new upgrades in decor/tech this year which made for a more enjoyable stay. Family friendly, clean facilities, friendly staff, safe environment and the best beach in Florida.

Sand Cay provides the best beach vacation for a family. The units having 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen and family room allow my family to live at the ocean comfortably. The beach and water are beautiful year after year. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I am a third generation guest at sand cay and I know my family will continue to come here year after year for generations to come. We are so grateful for our home away from home.

As usual our experience at Sand Cay was absolutely perfect. The staff, the grounds, beach, pool, and unit were amazing and awesome.

Great stay at Sand Cay Resort on Longboat Key. Fantastic weather, great beach, some wonderful seafood and getting together with friends made for a memorable Winter getaway for us... 2nd time staying there and definitely will be back !!!

My family and I have enjoyed staying at Sand Cay several times but have missed a few summers due to COVID, work etc. This trip was great, my daughter teared up when we first arrived because she had missed out trips to LBK. It was a great stay.

Yes, this is an older complex and not the fanciest. BUT everything is well-maintained and clean, the grounds are lovely and the beach is great with lots of chairs available for guests. The manager was super and was clearly familiar with all units and everything going on at the property. Our group made use of the beachside grilling area where there was plenty of seating for our group of 15.We liked the location near the northern end of the key, close to Harry's, the Lazy Lobster, and not far from Publix. A nice place to stay!

We had a great stay in unit 311. The unit was well equipped and clean. The location and facilities were top notch. It was a wonderful vacation!

311 is not the best condo we have had there but it was OK. Love Sand Cay! We shall return!! The staff was terrific. Sara and Heather

Carole Cousin and I, Mary Moran, and our husbands stayed in unit 311. The kitchen was updated and had everything we need. However, the beds in the smaller bedroom were abysmal — the mattresses were worn and did not stay on the frame — slipped off. We could not use the closet as bed was up against the door. Unit needs to be painted—especially bathrooms.

We really enjoyed our stay at Sand Cay Resort. Unit 311 was nice. The beach is so close to the resort and it was so great to walk there each day. We loved the amenities at the resort as well! We enjoyed playing pickleball, shuffleboard, using the heated pool and having access to many other games. The staff at Sand Cay are top notch and so nice! We very much enjoyed our winter getaway and will be back.

The Sand Cay was a great place to stay. The pool was great and the path to the beach was quick and took about 5 mins to walk from our condo to the beach. 311 was very clean and had everything you would need. Beach towels, a couple of chairs, umbrella and the kitchen well equipped. We spent all day at beach then went up to eat then hit the pool. It was not crowded at all. Check out the beach cam and see. Our condo had view of the pool. Front office people were very nice. I would stay again.

I'm so grateful to have found Sand Cay Beach Resort for our vacation. The condo was very clean and comfortable. Resort grounds are amazing and resort staff were so helpful if we had any questions or concerns. 5 stars all around. I can't wait to come back, and my husband and I both agree that we would pick 311 again.

The rental of this property was very easy and efficient. The office managers were very responsive and friendly. We lived in this unit for 2 months. and loved every minute of our stay.The condo itself was perfect. I read some unfavorable old reviews but totally disagree. This unit has been beautifully redone with new appliances, floor, furniture, and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed.I recommend Sand Cay and Unit 311 for a perfect vacation.

Wonderful

My five daughters and myself had a wonderful time on Longboat Key. The unit was very comfortable and very clean. The staff were available when we needed them. It is just a short drive to restaurants and entertainment. It was a great choice for us.

My Husband and I rented 311 and had plenty of space to enjoy. The king bed was very comfortable, living room was very comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed.

Great location, nice amenities, and a private beach experience. Our whole crew agreed we will be coming back again and again.

This was our first time at Sand Cay. We enjoyed our stay very much. The kitchen could use an upgrade but other than that we appreciated the complimentary use of the laundry facilities and beautiful, clean beach. We will be back for sure!

We thought the property overall was in great shape. The condo had some updates but still needed updates in the kitchen and baths.

We were so surprised upon arrival to see that the unit had been completely updated. Everything looked new and the unit was very clean. We had everything we needed and were very comfortable.

This was our second year staying at Sand Cay and we're going back again next year. Wonderful beaches and LBK is in a great location.
