Cockroaches

My family comes here every Feb. grandkids love the beach and pool right outside the doorsteps. Staff is incredible. Melissa, Heather and Sara are wonderful, we have worked with them for years!

Very easy and laid back.

Week of great weather and relaxation

Was good but need pet control we find 2 big cockroach one main bed room and other in restroom hallway,carpet in living room was dirty I prefer no carpet there. At that moment have the hurricane and have to stay days inside the apartment that was sad .

This was our second time at this property, and it was even better than the first. We were a large party and rented three separate condos, all of which were great. We had everything we could possibly want in terms of amenities and the equipment provided in the rooms. Everything was clean and well stocked. The location is perfect. The staff in the office are so helpful. We highly recommend this resort!

We stayed at Sand Cay in April. The property and the beach are amazing! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Plenty of nice chairs at the beach. We will be back!

Wonderful to be able to spend on LBK. A great place to stay. Clean and many comforts of home. Needs some updating and painting otherwise everything was great. Office was always most helpful for any of my needs. Smiling faces everywhere.

The unit we stayed in is wonderfully well kept and comfortable . We would recommend this unit to anyone planning their trip to this amazing resort.

Nice location in Longboat Key. I love the availability of lounge chairs at the beach. The weather was beautiful, and the beach was not crowded over Thanksgiving week. The unit was nice and clean.

Enjoyed the stay as this was our 6 th time we enjoyed th resort Good restaurants near by,enjoy cooking at the grills watching the sunset.Pool and beach both great and relaxing.

We had a fabulous time and didn't want to leave. The unit was the perfect size for my husband and myself. I especially loved the patio to soak up the sun and look at the beautiful ocean (partial view). When we arrived there was a terrible smell coming from the unit, we aired out the unit and it was much better. I would recommend a good Febreeze on the blue chair in the LR. There is a laundry room there free of charge, but the day we used it was a busy day. It's a laid back resort, not a lot to do there but enjoy the weather, pool and beach but being from the Midwest that was perfect for us. They do have pickle ball courts and shuffleboard also. I would recommend better paper towels, the ones we received were very cheap. Glad there was a Publix near by we could drive to. I would recommend this resort and I would happily come back.

The apartment was great, it had what we needed for a family vacation. we had 4 adults and 2 children. The amenities were ideal, the pool, the beach just steps away , the umbrellas, chairs that were included was a big plus.

Had a very nice time with family and friends room was very nice but prefer a ceiling fan in bedroom,generally there is spices salt and pepper left n room,there was none.

We enjoyed our stay here. It was quiet and the condo was very clean and had everything we needed. When we needed something, management was quick to respond. I would stay here again.

Sand Cay #307 was SO comfortable! It's the best compliment that I can pay! The kitchen, living room and dining area are very open and a bonus, by staying on the 3rd floor, was vaulted ceilings! The master bedroom with bath is good size and having the second bathroom (full) was very convenient! The staff is very friendly and helpful. We also used the tennis court a few days! The pool area is spotless and well attended to. Plenty of seating, lounges and umbrellas. Since we are from New England, eating breakfast every morning out on the balcony was wonderful!!! Overall...excellent stay!!! Thanks!

This was our third year at Sand Cay. The staff is amazing . We’ve made so many friends there over the past few years. We can’t wait to get back there in 2023!

Sand Cay unit 307 was a great stay. The unit is clean and well maintained. It does not have an in-unit W/D so that would be an added benefit. The floors could use a bit of scrubbing as the grout is fairly dirty.

It was the perfect get away to the beach. Great location! lots to do and great places to eat or you can just relax on a very beautiful beach. The water and weather was gorgeous. The condo was so clean and loved the fully stocked kitchen with everything you could need to cook a nice meal. We also loved that there were lounge chairs already out on the beach specifically for our condo guests use no extra cost. Umbrellas also available. Nice pool and we so enjoyed playing tennis every morning. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend this condo and beach in Florida.

Great Unit! Family really enjoys Sand Cay!

-We had a good time overall. Longboat Key is definitely a laid back place. Sand Cay Resort was a little outdated as was the same with a majority of the other properties on Longboat. The layout of the property was nice and unique, we never felt crowded at anytime. There were chairs available on the beach to grab and go and the water was amazing. The pool was decent but we felt it could’ve have been cleaner. Our unit was was well furnished, clean, and the beds were comfortable. There was a small tv in the master bedroom and a smart tv in the living area. The unit primarily has a view of the pool and lawn area. You barely could see the ocean from the unit, so if you are looking for a good ocean view this is not the unit for you.-The three biggest complaints we had were:1. There was no washer/dryer in the unit. There was a laundry room with washer/dryers attached to the office by the pool.2. By the end of first day we had small ants crawling to the trash can and around the kitchen. Even with all food sealed and the trash taken out regularly they were still there.3. The unit smelled old and musty. We ended up having to get air fresheners and a candle.

The area itself is very lovely. Beaches are beautiful. Great for families. If you are looking for peace and quiet may not be your place. Older Frame construction so you can hear people above you. Was not a problem for us we loved our trip. People below us....not so much! Very well stocked and accommodating. Only major downfall to me was parking and only 1 elevator (dated). Loading and unloading at back of building to ramp and all the way to front of building to elevator. As single mom with kids that is a lot of stuff back and forth. Overall was a GREAT getaway.

We had a great weekend. The apartment has a lot of things available, the beds where very comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped and the beach is the best. We love to workout (run and bike) and the area is the perfect place for that !!!We have some small suggestions for next guests!!The WiFi instructions located in the back of the front door are wrong. The one that worked where located at the TV station.The light of the night table close to the restroom was not working.We stayed for 4 nights but there were just 2 soap for the dishwasher and 2 the trash bags.There is no food waste disposal unit. There were some ants in the kitchen.There was no multi cleaners at least to clean the counters.

We had a wonderful stay at sand cay 307 - the condo seems newly renovated and well equipped. The beds were comfortable, the showers worked well and the kitchen had everything you could need and more. There is a partial view of the water from the balcony. The complex itself is in a great location, the beach in front is beautiful and not busy at all, and even at the pool we were often by ourselves. The tennis court is in good shape and we never had a problem booking it. The front desk people were friendly and helpful. We’d be back!

Overall a pleasant stay. Booking directly through Sand Cay saved us more than $300 vs over booking via VRBO so that was a big plus. We arrived after hours but there was a late arrival packet waiting for us exactly where we were told it would be. The unit was clean, functional for our purposes and nearly exactly as described except that the living room furniture had been updated which was a nice surprise. The mattresses on all the beds were the worst part (VERY hard and uncomfortable) and that's a pretty important thing to get wrong and the reason I can't give it 5 stars. Even a small investment in memory foam toppers would be a huge improvement. The master bedroom bathroom is extremely small and the water pressure out of the faucet was almost unusable. There was a power failure for about an hour on our last morning which made packing up to check out and leave a bit difficult but we were not rushed out so that was a plus. The location was perfect for our needs, quiet, clean and within walking distance to good restaurants. We'd definitely come back but would need better mattresses.
