Unit #217

This is our 2nd stay at Sand Cay. We came last year with our children and grandchildren. We rented 3 condo’s up front and everyone had a great time. So we decided we would all come back this year and we rented 3 condo’s with the ocean view and again we were not disappointed. Great views and the condo’s we rented were done very well. We enjoy the beach and also the pool. My boys loved being able to grill out. They also have beach loungers so less stuff you have to bring. Also each unit has a little something for the beach and also some have a fishing rod. Your best bet is to get there no matter where you are staying first then decide what you truly need. And no matter where you stay there very short walk to beach.

Great 2 weeks at Sand Cay. Weather was perfect, the complex is very neat and well maintained. The office staff is very attentive and friendly. We have already booked our return for next year.

This renovated condo (Unit 217) has an excellent view of the white,sandy beach and blue Gulf waters from the all the rooms in this spacious condo except the 2nd BR. We love this place and it is our most anticipated destination every year! The pictures of its beauty are accurate.

The unit we stayed in had a view of the Gulf from nearly every window!The front patio provided beautiful panoramic views of the Gulf!

We loved our stay at 217 Sand Cay. October was a great time to go. Still warm outside and the water was still reasonably warm. 217 was perfect for my husband and I and our two boys. Fishing equipment, pickle ball stuff and having the beach right there was amazing. We will definitely be back!

Sand Cay beach resort is a piece of heaven!

Sand Cay never disappoints. The unit we stayed in was very nice. The grounds were well maintained, and the AC system was working! The beach was the beach and hot for this time of year as expected. The only issue was the very loud music between two separate groups at the pool on the 27th.

Let me start by saying that the staff at sand cay are the nicest people you’d ever interact with. Always helpful, always polite and will do everything in their power to assist when you need it. This was our first stay in unit 217 and we have mixed feelings about our stay. The view is probably one of the best in the resort and for that we can’t complain.. beds were comfortable and we always got a good nights rest. However, they were some nuances here and there that need to be addressed on 217. For example, and the master bedroom, the blinds will not drop all the way down to the pane. This results in about a 5 inch gap between the bottom of the blinds and the window pane where people can see into the room at night and light come into the room in early morning. We wound up stuffing a blanket under the blinds to address this issue. The kitchen is not equipped very well and need some updating. They need new Teflon pans for frying and probably need to add a few other utensils to the assortment in the kitchen like a mixer, etc.. One of the reasons that we book 217 was in the pictures. It shows a covered porch, but the porch is not covered. I’m assuming From the last storm that pushed through.. still though, that needs to be removed from the website as it is misleading. Overall, we had a great week just a few small things in the room that need to be addressed.

Very enjoyable vacation. Staff was extremely nice. Great view of the Gulf of America. People staying at Sand Cay were also very pleasant. The unit was well furnished for our needs. The biggest annoyance was hearing the individuals in the unit above ours moving their chairs around or their "heavy feet" when they walked across the floor. Would have liked to have a bathroom fan, but possibly that was an issue that was being addressed.

We return to Sand Cay year after year. It’s a gorgeous property right on the beach. The condos are always clean and comfortable with lovely views. The pool and beach are both fun because the staff ensures there are plenty of toys for the kiddos to use. We live to use the community grills while there too. And it’s an easy drive to restaurants and activities alike. The icing on the cake is the lovely staff. They go above and beyond to make us feel at home. We can’t wait for next year!

We're classic snowbirds. During our February's stay this year, we enjoyed 75-85 degree sunny days, all except one. Lots of hand-in-hand walks along the beach, bicycle rides to favorite (and some new) haunts, great restaurant meals (Dry Dock Waterfront is one of our favorites), and just "laid back" beachside living. Sand Cay Beach Resort is always clean, safe, fairly private/quiet and well maintained, and charming (i.e. reminds us of a retro Florida hotel).

Wonderful location. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Complex easy access to pool and beach. Condo was perfect location but could use some improvements.

We honeymooned here and it was great from start to finish! We had a late check in which was easily navigated. The condo was equipped with everything we could have needed and more. The staff was always smiling and helpful with all questions. Great place to be and definitely plan to go again!

As usual, we had a fantastic time. The weather was great, the unit was amazing, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a good time at a good cost.

We had an awesome week at Sand Cay Resort. There were 20 of us vacationing and coming together for a wedding. Everything at Sand Cay was just perfect in accommodating us for the celebration and to relax and enjoy the company. We will definitely be a return guest. Thank you for a wonderful week.

The property and condo were accurately described on the web site. This is our fifth stay at Sand Cay Resort. The grounds are lovely and well maintained. The on site staff are very efficient and friendly.They make the guests feel like family. Pool is clean and great Wifi available. The condo is well maintained and nicely decorated.

Great rental! What a view! We have already booked for January 2025.

This is our home away from home. Everything from the cleanliness of the unit, to the detailed decorating makes you feel at home. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The grounds are beautiful and the amenities are great. We will continue to return whenever we can as my kids call this their 2nd home.

Being their with my 2 daughters was once again fantastic. Our place was clean, beautiful and so relaxing. The one slight problem was the TV’s did not work. This was our 5 th year coming here and we already booked for next year.....thank you

We chose Sand Cay Beach Resort because of its location on Longboat Key and its proximity to the beach. It was perfect! Our unit was clean and spacious and the views of the ocean were absolutely breathtaking! Sand Cay provided beach chairs and you can check out umbrellas at the front desk to use for the day. The beach was clean and family friendly and you can walk for miles on the soft sand along the coast. We definitely recommend this resort if you’re looking for a spacious, clean condo with a beautiful, family beach!

Must be the best condo in the whole complex the view was outstanding We love to Longboat key Sarasota, shopping in Saint Armands is fun. Restaurants are wonderful We love being on the water.

The beach is absolutely wonderful! We loved that the beach is just a few steps from our door. We really liked the view of the beach from the kitchen as you’re preparing food and cleaning the dishes. The property is a little older, but everything was up to date and looked very nice. The free laundry was a bonus as well as the umbrealls, chairs, and sand toys. Loved our stay!

This was our third vacation stay at Sand Cay and I wouldn't stay anywhere else. We were in unit 217, and it was exactly as pictured! The unit was clean and fully stocked with everythig we needed and more and the view was spectacular! The staff was amazing and very helpful. Some must do things to experience are Fun Boat Tours Dolphins and Donuts (Anna Maria), Lynch's Pub and Venezia Italian restaurant in St. Armand's Circle, and the Salty Dog in Siesta Key.

Overall we enjoyed our recent visit to LBK & Sand Cay Resort.However, Unit #217 has several repairs that the owners need to done.1) Master Shower - water leaks everywhere; the curb is slanted the wrong way; there is an apparent leak under the shower as evidenced by floor tile starting to bubble up. The vertical plastic strip on shower door needs replaced. The molding along the base is showing signs of decay. An overall update is highly recommended. Makeup mirror needs to be secured.2) Master closet door came off hinges.I would recommend Sand Cay, but not Unit 217 (until it's updated).3) Ants found in bathrooms & kitchen.

early days on the fabulous beach, dinners at great restaurants, shopping at St.Armonds Circle can’t wait to do it again! we had a magical time, the sunsets made it perfect!

We have been visiting LBK frequently for 2-to-4 weeks' visits.This time it as the best as we had superior acccommodations; the weatherwas perfect. The beach was better than we had remembered. The food and service was even better than usual. And it was great to visit LBKafter three years. We already have a 2-week reservation at the same accommodations as we enjoyed this time. Its also a wonderful changefrom living in the southern California desert even though we love the desert!

If you want sun, white sand beaches with a quieter, more residential feel this is the place for you. Some of the best golf front views from balcony and living room. Enjoy spectacular sun sets from the unit or down on the beach with old and new friends. Lots of windows, full kitchen with updated appliances. Only changes we could suggest is some new pots/pans and maybe a new couch (the current one is "well lived"). Lots of amenities to experience and enjoy at Sand Cay and a short drive to great dining and shopping. The perfect unit in a great location to unwind and relax.

Great week at Sand Cay. A view of the gorgeous beach from almost every room and a short walk to get to the sand compared to other places we’ve stayed. We enjoyed it so much, we stayed an extra day. Condo was clean with nice furnishings. Vacuum cleaner is in need of repair or replacement though. Thank you!

Stayed at this resort several times different units and liked every one we stayed at. Beaches and water is great. Very close to stores but secluded and not overrun with guest. Love staying here and will be back next year.

The unit was clean. The interior was very tired. The furniture needs replacing.The kitchen was not very well equipt.

We have been coming to LBK and staying at Sandy Cay for the last 10 years. It is our little piece of paradise, our home away from home. The grounds are always so well maintained, the staff is super friendly and always accommodating. The units have everything you need to make your stay wonderful. You are a 15 minute drive from St. Armands. you have everything you need to relax, unwind, soak up the sun and make some wonderful family memories.

Loved room #217. Upgrades are very nice. My back, ya asking for a new mattress, though.The pool was very dirty. Dead bugs, trash, etc. un-swimmable, at least on the first day. We had a few **** roaches in our room. That was a first.Weather was perfect and, overall, we love the place. Otherwise, we wouldn’t keep coming back every year.
