Unit #205

Sand Cay Beach Resort stay was so relaxing. The pool and beach area is tremendous. grounds gave a very tropical vibe. Staff was very attentive all the way through the initial booking to checkout. Highly recommend the Sand Cay it’s a hidden gem!

Have stayed here multiple times in multiple different units.Everything is consistently great. Units are clean and well equipped. Staff are very helpful.

Disappointed

This was our first stay at Sand Cay Resort. We were very impressed. The property as a whole is kept very nicely - landscaping, flowers, cleanliness, beach, pool - all great. The staff in the front office could not have been friendlier as well as other staff we came across on the property. The unit we stayed in, 205, had great views of the water. It was clean and tidy and had just about everything one would need for a visit. Very spacious and comfortable. Having an elevator to access the second floor was much appreciated, just from the loading and unloading of a weeks worth of gear we brought. Let alone groceries. An umbrella for the patio table was the only item missing that would have have made the stay perfect.

Sand Cay is amazing... the grounds, pool, staff, location and beach are perfect. I won't stay at unit 205 ever again. Needs carpet replaced badly, updates and even has a cracked window. Moldy shower curtains..gross, great beach view, This unit has way more potential.

So very clean and nicely decorated

Well appointed condo with picture window view of the Gulf. Minor problem with toilet in hall bath, mentioned to the office staff and it was fixed by the time we returned from the beach. Would definitely return.

We love the location, and the proximity to the beach and the community park, and everything we needed was there at the resort or in the unit. Loved grilling after sunset while looking at the ocean. People and families were nice and cordial the entire time, and the front office is always available if you need anything. It is close to everything, without being in the midst of everything. We love it here and can't wait to book another week soon. Thank you for maintaining a great and affordable place for friends and families to experience the best the gulf side of Florida has to offer.

Sand Cay resort is very accommodating and beautiful. Everything is well maintained and kept in good order. Sitting on the Gulf of Mexico with the beautiful water and soft sand. The living area was nicely furnished and well equipped. Our only concern is traffic, at certain times of the day you cannot get off the island, either north or south.

My family has been going to Sandcay for over 20 years, its usually a big group of us and we always have the best time. Some of my best childhood memories have been made here, so to bring my own children back over the years has been really special. This condo has a great gulf and garden view, its close enough to the beach that the kids can come and go if they need to run to the apartment for a snack or something they forgot. Overall the rental is in good shape. It had more than enough sleeping space, my 4 kids, baby, husband and I had satisfactory sleeping space. They even had a playpen for baby to sleep in and a high chair which was so helpful. The only complaint I have about the unit, and it wasn't something I openly complained about and just dealt with, were the bathroom curtains. There was no way to keep them up, they fell in both bathrooms and any attempt to keep them up, once the shower was on, the humidity (even with the fan on) would make them slide right down. I'm sure if I had made the owners aware of this, they would have done something about it. Hopefully they can take care of this for future guests. I always take my own kitchen knife and a big pot since we are a big family and cook daily while there, but the rental unit has mostly everything you'd need. It did have a shortage of some cutlery, forks was it? I loved this unit and would definitely return and would absolutely recommend it! I can't wait to go back!

We keep coming back to Sand Cay because we love it there. Beautiful beach, comfortable living space, friendly people. Would highly recommend.

This was my annual second stay in unit 205. Even though the weather was cool my visit was very nice, very relaxing.

Great location, good views. Unit 205 was not very clean. Dirty and stained carpets. Could use a bit of updating.

We enjoyed our stay in unit 205. The view from the dining room is beautiful. The pool was fun and the staff was friendly. There are several nice shops and restaurants nearby as well as the Mote aquarium. I liked that the resort has lounge chairs already on the beach and free laundry facilities. We would love to visit again!

Had a wonderful experience at Sand Cay. The location is excellent and the staff on site was very accommodating and helpful. The property was very clean and well maintained. I would definitely recommend to my friends.

Great vacation at SandCay. Perfect location on Longboat Key. We enjoy the privacy. The condos are in great condition. Constantly updated. Grounds meticulously kept. Best ocean front views. Would highly recommend and willReturn. A hidden GEM.

No problems but one suggestion: ceiling fans in bedrooms and main living area.
