We had a fantastic stay! All of the new upgrades to the property were amazing! We are looking forward to coming back again next year!
February 2026Unit 202 has lovely new floors, kitchen and baths. It has a lovely view. The kitchen was not stocked as well as other units at Sand Cay and we’ve stayed in many. I think there were 7 forks. We washed silverware after every use. There were 4-5 30 oz cups but no lids so it was very difficult to drink coffee on a morning walk or make sure they were not spilled when used inside. You can get those from Amazon. The sink in the en-suite looks lovely but is so big there is no room to set anything down. You could hardly lay a toothbrush beside the sink. The main reason we could not in good faith recommend this unit to others is the TINY HOT WATER TANK. There were 4 of us and we found that we had to stagger our showers because you could not get 2 hot (quick) showers from the tank. This made it difficult to spend the time we wanted outside and then come in and shower to go to dinner... We won’t stay again unless we anre assured that these items have been addressed.
Beautiful and peaceful. I strongly recommend installing digital Key lock systems instead of digital keys. Also, it would be nice to have a walkway from beach to the pool. The property would feel more cohesive. I would go back!

We had a great view & upgraded kitchen with 202. 1 of 4 units our friends rented for the week. The kitchen & living space & master were spacious. But the 2nd bedroom & both bathrooms were small compared to other places we've stayed. But the property overall was very nice. We loved the size of the beach and lounge chairs. We saw dolphins, manta rays & manatees...they swam right beside us. Also a sea turtle at night. We might be back if where we normally stay at Turtle Beach gets restored. But yall are 1K more for ocean front so we will see what next year looks like. We enjoyed Mar Vista, Ventura, Crab & Fin, & The Chart House. Had 6 beautiful beach days. We have been going to Sand Cay for years and this unit is, by far, the best one we have experienced. It was clean and stocked with all the essentials. The staff were amazing, as always. We can’t wait to go back next year.
