Unit #111

This property is perfect for family vacations and we have been coming for 11 years. Staff is courteous and the amenities are excellent. Beachfront memories can be made daily. There are restaurants close by to meet needs. We tend to cook in the unit or use the grill equipment and that makes for ease. No driving for meals so holiday traffic can be avoided for your stay. One suggestion I would make is that the property reconsider its right of first refusal by week as opposed to by offering the renter the first option to select their subsequent stay at the time they depart from the property. The way first right of refusal exists now affects those that rent during holidays as those are dates not usually weeks.

Love this property. Stayed in another unit last and this one is more modern with updated kitchen and bathrooms. Definately decorated by a women. Will book again for more days next time. Just wish there weren’t so many fishing poles on the facilities beach area. There was six poles in the water. Had to go down further to swim so not to risk getting hooked. They were also staying in the facility.

Our daughter and family stayed in 111. Love the unit but this year they had issues with ants tracking on their counter and sink. It was brought to attention of staff on Monday 3/16 but no one came to deal with it until Friday 3/20 the day they ended up having to leave; stay was March 12-21st. For all that we pay for cleaning and for a nice place to stay, it made the stay a little unpleasant. nothing could be put on counters and some of the ants were in the cupboards as well. Just feel we should have had cleaning fee or something discounted from the stay.

This was our second stay at Sand Cay and we absolutely love the property. Great location, easy access to the beach, great pool, shuffle board & pickle ball courts. Office staff is the BEST! Our condo was exceptionally nice. Recently updated spacious and open floor plan. Great kitchen and loved the location just a few steps from the pool.

Unit 111 is the fourth Sand Cay unit that we've stayed in, and one of the nicest. The renovation is gorgeous, well appointed, has tasteful furniture and a chef's kitchen. There's no clutter from the owner's belongings and everything has a place. Some units at Sand Cay are in desperate need of a renovation and overhaul, this one is not. If you're spending your days at the beach, you won't mind if there's no Gulf view.

Great condo. Clean and updated. Complex was quiet and clean. Pool was cold the first day but they heated it up. Beach was great!

This property met all expectations. Was happily surprised that the facility and unit matched the on line description and photos. The management notified us prior to arrival of broken table top that was damaged by the guest that had just checked out. They kept us abreast on when maintenance would be there to fix it and helped with a solution in the meantime. I would definitely recommend this property and would stay again

This was our fourth year of coming to Sand Cay Beach Resort. We have stayed in the same unit and it has been very clean, great location, and right by the pool. The gals in the office have always been helpfu and very friendly. We talked with local people and they gave us names of restaurants to eat at. We ate at the starfish and it was a wonderful restaurant tucked away. We also ate at the wicked Cantina and lazy, lobster and skinny’s hamburgers. Some of these were in longboat key others were towards the bradenton area across the bridge. Would recommend staying at this resort.

Excellent stay

We had a Fantastic time. This was our second year here. We plan to vacation here again next summer. The rental, the pool, the beach, everything was perfect.

Have been coming to this property for years and love the location and amenities. This year sod work was being completed which caused a bit of a challenge if you wanted to be polite and not walk on the prepped area but was minimal. One night our neighbors were a bit loud and it was rather late however it is a holiday weekend. Suggest there be someone to answer the phone line more often as getting through to a live person is a challenge. Have asked for the office to ask an owner if they wished to reduce the five day rental to 4 days however have not heard back after three days

We had a great time! Rental was updated clean had all the amenities needed for beach and pool. Will definitely be back!

This is our third year staying at unit #111 and we love the place. Quiet and homey. The pool is very nice and beach is a 5 minute walk and nice. Several places to eat in Longboat Key and also in St. Armand Circle. We also enjoyed going to Bradenton. All in all everything was great and no complaints.

We could not have been happier with our vacation rental and the staff. The rental itself was very clean and newly renovated. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen is stocked really well. It was very peaceful and quiet while we were there. The pool was really nice and was right next to our patio. The beach was maybe 50 yards from our condo. It was nice having beach chairs out there already. The beach area was beautiful and quiet as well. The staff was amazing! Sara(h)? who worked in the office over the weekend was awesome! She was very helpful whenever we had questions and was always very nice. We definitely want to come back here again. Thank you for a great vacation!!

Unit 111 was gorgeous- very comfortable and close to pool.

The condo was absolutely beautiful and steps from the beach and pool- it had everything we needed to make the perfect vacation. Close to parks and restaurants

We loved our stay at Sand Cay. The unit was newly renovated and beautiful. The beach was a short walk away and the staff were all so friendly. Only complaint was the bed we slept in was pretty uncomfortable, but would still recommend and stay here again.

Overall our stay was a great experience! We had a newly renovated apartment with all the ameneties. Very friendly and professional management. We will book again for sure.Only the garbage container being in plain sight and not hidden is a real eyesore. But that should be a quick fix.

This is our 2nd year at Sand Cay Beach Resort and already booked for next year. We love the closeness to the pool and beach. Several places to eat at Longboat Key, Bradenton, Anna Maria and St. Armands . Also, so close do get to. We ate at The Columbia restaurant in St. Armand’s. We also are at Freckled Fin Irish Pub in Holmes Beach, the Lazy Lobster in Longboat Key, and Oma’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant. Everything we had was great! We also went on a sunset cruise on the Fun Boat and had a great time. Captain Jeb and Christina were great and we also saw dolphins.

Limited seating. Limited tables (no coffee table or end tables). A chair with reading lamp would be a good addition.

We absolutely loved our stay in this unit. We have 2 little girls (3 and 5), so the proximity to the pool and ease of walking outside was perfect. The bathtub did not hold the tub water, and I was surprised at how quickly the office sent someone to fix it. The unit was super clean and very comfortable. I do think the couch could use some sort of coffee table/ottoman to put your feet up. And I did miss not having a blender for smoothies/blended beach drinks. Overall very very nice and we hope to come back!

This unit was recently renovated. We liked the fit and finish a lot. The location right next to the pool was not ideal for anyone desiring some privacy even on the patio. Even the parking spot was pretty far away if you had to unload bags or groceries. We had a few minor gripes, like the Wi-Fi name and password were NOT on the back of the door. We had to find the modem in the spare bedroom and look on the back of it, which was a big hassle. We took a sheet of paper and put that info in the three ring binder next to the TV. The kitchen had non stick pans but no plastic spatula, which makes you use a metal one scratching the pans. There was a salt shaker, no pepper, and no other spices. Also one annoying thing was the unit had one of those automatic air fresheners on top of credenza. This thing went off every 30 minutes or so and it took us a day to figure out what it was. Not sure if it was dispensing anything or just making noise.

We had the best time staying at Sand Cay. All staff are so friendly and very accommodating!! We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful time at the Sandy Cay resort and we particularly enjoyed how beautifully furnished and high quality everything was in the unit. It shows owners that gay really care and is on our list to come back. Only suggestion is to add wi-fi instructions behind main door as we could not find those. Great place and so close to the beach!

My family had a great time staying here, the location was convenient to the grocery store, and not far from Mote marine, St. Armand’s circle or the airport, we would definitely stay here again!

Location was great! Property was clean and the beds and furnishings were all good and clean. Great restaurants and grocery store is close. Can’t say enough about the property and the unit was right next to pool and short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again!

Have stayed at sand cay several times, location of this room was great but kitchen was lacking good cookware and silverware, and we had an issue with ants getting into our food. Room just didn’t feel as clean as other units we’ve stayed at. Would not stay in this unit again.

We were extremely happy with the Sand Cay complex. The beach was just a few steps away and beautiful, peaceful, and well equipped with comfortable chaise lounges. Our unit was in dire need of upgrading in all aspects. As the unit was being sold during our stay, I assume new owners will renovate. The resort location is excellent; close to Publix and great dining choices. Would definitely stay in Sand Cay again but pay more attention to the condition of the unit we select.

We had a bit of COVID cabin fever and wanted to get away to a beach, any beach, as mask and travel restrictions were lifted. So I searched all of the FL gulf coast for a reasonable getaway spot and landed here at Sand Cay Beach resort in Longboat Key (LBK). It was a great choice! Our unit 111 is furthest from the beach, but closest to the pool and office, but it was only a short walk down to the beach. Tropical storm Elsa tried to dampen our spirits but amounted to only a little wind and rain in LBK. Still managed to get sunburned hah! If you're wondering whether you need a car or not, I suggest getting one -- it's a pretty far drive to anything other than the nearby Publix. We would definitely stay here again. Next time we may try to find a unit a bit closer to the water...

Such a great stay at Sand Cay! So relaxing! The condo complex is located right on the beach, and everything on the property has been maintained so nicely! Our condo was excellent. In great shape, and very clean. I loved the location of it right in front of the pool as well!

We loved until 111 in Sand Cay. Located right next to the Pooland the tennis courts, just few steps to the beach also. Beach was gorgeous and lounge chairs were provided. The decor in the unit was outdated though but we didn’t mind it much. We would definitely be back! Loved Longboat Key.

We had a wonderful time at Sand Cay condos. The condo is just a short walk to the beach. The rooms were tidy and perfect for our family of 4. The pool was very close and convenient. We would love to come back some day!

We spent a week at the Sand Cay Beach Resort (#111). The unit was comfortable and quiet at night. These are the two main criteria we use when deciding about whether or not to return. We would definitely stay in this resort and unit again.

We are a family of 5. Arrived in the late afternoon and the key was waiting for us. Unit was clean and well equipped with sheets, beach and bath towels for 6. Had a little bit of dishwashing detergeabtbto get started as well as shampoo/conditioner/bath soap. Washer made noise the first day but staff was quick to respond and fix it. Great access to the pool , courtyard, and beach. We were ground floor garden side. Would go again. Had a great time!

We enjoyed our stay at Sandcay! Everyone was very helpful and friendly.

The resort is beautiful, the management superb, the location amazing, however that unit where we stayed needs to have the furniture replaced it is not in clean or good condition.

This is the 6th year we have chosen to stay at Sand Cay. Although this speaks for itself, I will go on to tell you how impressed and appreciative we are to the staff and owners. This year unit 111 was our choice. It was spotless and well appointed. The decor was cheerful. I always like when the unit looks like thought was put into the appearance and decorations. AS always Melissa and staff respond quickly to any requests with a smile and most helpful attitude. She and the office staff are gems. I look forward to 2 delightful weeks next year!

Sand Cay is a great place to stay. Perfect for family vacation. Unit 111 was clean and comfortable with lots of amenities. The only complaint would be the outside table needs to be replaced or fixed.

We were there a week where hi-lo about 68-52, bit overcast and windy. We wish our lanai faced S or W. Hadn't thought of that before hand. Ours faced N. Get it?All else just fine. Staff, facilities, location and units are very nice

Second visit to Sand Cay in one year! Everyone is so friendly, mellow and quiet. Feels like a nice little neighborhood away from home and on the gulf. We have stayed in 110 and 111 and each unit is very comfortable. We would live here!

Absolutely wonderful! Unit was clean, spacious and well stocked. Bed in master was quite comfortable. Unit was close to parking and pool and about 500 ft away from beach, can’t complain. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beach was picturesque. We were lucky enough to witness a sea turtle laying eggs! Really enjoyed the stay. Looking forward to next year.

Overall pretty good. Wish there had been a broom. A few more dishwasher tablets. A few laundry tablets. Kitchen trash bags that tie. Bathtub non slip mats

Sandcay is always a wonderful experience.
