Unit #107

This is a wonderful vacation spot that our family keeps returning to. Sand Cay is our favorite place to go.

Other than a few glitches, as usual the stay at Sand Cay was amazing.The first couple of nights we were getting bitten by some type of mites or sand fleas, but subsided as the week went on.The most dissapointing was the wifi service went out and we were without wifi for the last 2 days / nights which severly impacted my abilty to work remotely.But again, other than that it was an amazing time as usual.

We would rent this unit again. It was clean , functional and very comfortable. The resort was perfect for us and we will definitely return!

We walked in and there were dead cockroaches in the kitchen and dining room area. This is certainly not a very well maintained unit. The beds, bathrooms and interior are not being taken care of. And I’m talking just about this unit 107 specifically because we have stayed in other Sand Cay units that are much nicer and kept up. The glass table and umbrella outside were broke and unusable as well. Certainly not a unit that we would rent again but still love Sand Cay! This was my 3rd stay at Sand Cay, and it keeps getting better. We love Longboat Key, and the location here is great! You are on the beach with and have great views of the incredible sunsets. Always a great experience.

We had a few issues and the staff was very professional and moved us to Gulf front.

The unit was nice but the kitchen could use a thorough cleaning!

We stay at Sand Cay every summer. We make the trip from MS and it never disappoints.

Our rental was in perfect condition. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed the living room furniture and bedrooms were very comfortable. I absolutely loved the convenience of having our own washer and dryer in the unit. My kids appreciated the boogie boards as well.

Overall stay was wonderful! The property is beautiful and well maintained. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Our particular condo was old and outdated. Bathrooms need remodeling. Condo felt dirty and dingy.

Definitely one of the outdated rooms, would not choose this one again. It was clean and offered good living room seating but everything was very outdated and old/well used. All the mattresses are firm, coil/spring, not very comfy. Kitchen had a hodge podge of mismatched leftover cups, silverware, pots and pans. TV is fuzzy cable only, no netflix, hulu, etc. Didn't seem like a "home" like unit. Love the resort, heated pool, beach access and will stay here again but will pick a different unit next time.

Overall, positive. Good location. Unit could get better lighting and overall newer furniture and kitchen appliances.

Our family has been staying here every summer for years and we have never had one complaint. Very clean, certain units could use some updating but overall, I highly recommend

My 3rd time at Sand Cay.... family friendly, reminds me of coming to Longboat 50 years ago as a kid. LB Key hasn't seemed to grow hectic like the other keys. Now I am grandma hosting my kids and grandkids! Already reserving for next year.

We love Sand Cay! It is our family staycation a couple times a year. Unit 107 has been updated some but needs kitchen help. We like to cook but the stove didn't work properly, not a big problem. New washer and dryer in unit. We really enjoy the family atmosphere at Sand Cay. The ladies in the office are very friendly and helpful. The grounds are gorgeous.

We had our daughter and her family down for a week at the end of 2023. We normally set them up on Siesta Key when they are down but due to late reservations we stayed at the Sand Cay Resort this time. Nice resort on the beach with lots of land for the kids to play, a nice pool area as well as a tennis court, basketball hoop and other amenities. We will certainly come back for a change of pace and a more private setting.

Unit 107 was right across from the pool. Loved the convenience of being poolside. Unit was very comfortable and roomy. Beds were very comfy.The ladies in the office are very professional and friendly. A big part of the reason we visit Sand Cay yearly.

We were a group of 18. We had 4 different units throughout the property. We had an amazing time.

This was not our first stay at Sand Cay and definitely will not be the last. The resort overall is awesome, but unit 107 needs new furniture and updating. The fire alarm went off one night and the fire company was there quickly, this was reassuring. False alarm. Owners need to pay more attention to unit needs considering the price of rentals.

Condo is exactly as pictured - what you see is what you get. Everything was clean despite being outdated. Kitchen has bare minimum for cooking, so if you're looking to cook most of your meals this is probably not the place for you. Beach towels provided and condo is close to the pool, which was great for having young kids swimming and napping at the same time. Laundry machine in-unit worked well. Dishwasher did not. Sand Cay is a great location and great set-up for families, but this particular condo could use some updating.

We had trouble with our plumbing in the shower and the a/c quit working one day but the maintenance men were there within two hours. We had mold in the master shower handle but he cleaned it out. The master sink needs a whole new faucet system. You had to hold open the drain plug so the water would go out. We love Sand Cay Resort but this unit needs updated in the bathrooms and a/c.

We had a wonderful time at Sand Cay. The unit was clean, inviting and well stocked. We had a washer and dryer in our ground floor unit, which was great. The location was perfect. We were able to enjoy everything and hold true to social distancing. We were steps from the pool, great for going back and forth with grade school age kids. The wide, uncrowded beach is about a one minute walk across the lawn. Sand Cay is also well placed with many outdoor restaurants near by. We will be back.

We were very pleased with everything. The location and proximity to the beach were better than we expected. Our unit wasn’t perfect, it’s probably in need for some updating, but considering the fact that we reserved it late and it was the last unit available for the period we wanted, we couldn’t complain.
