Unit #105

First time coming here and we’re very pleased with our stay here. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They even had an Easter egg hunt, water slides and free lunch for the guest. Great quiet location right on the beach. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We've stayed at Sand Cay a number of times, so we like it and we liked our unit #105. However we asked for help by going to the front desk and by calling by phone to help us raise the umbrella and to fix a running toilet and never got service. Also they were unwilling to give us an extra tiny bottle of shampoo or shower gel. We would like the place better if it had a hot tub.

This unit is pretty nice. The beds were good, the furniture was reasonably new and comfortable and the kitchen had plenty of pots and pans etc. A disappointment occurred though when it was determined that the oven could not be operated and needed repair. It did not work for the entire week. If the management staff had not been so gracious about alternatives to this critical failure, I would have been very upset. The owner needs to replace the oven yesterday but as of the time I left, the useless oven hulk was still there. I also found an invasion of sugar ants. While reported to the manager, I could not tell if they ever addressed it. The ants certainly stayed around. All that said, this is generally such a nice location, I’m coming back to Sand Cay but I will probably call about the condition of the unit before I book this one again. There are lots of other nice places there.

Only negative part of the stay was the unit. Outdated, not well maintained, missing blinds slats.

Our unit 105 was in major need of repairs. The grounds and pool area are great. The staff is friendly and very helpful

Overall our experience at Sand Cay was fabulous and all that was advertised. My only complaint is that the WiFi was spotty on our phones anywhere other than the master bedroom. Anytime we left and returned we had to go to the bedroom to make sure our phone was reconnected. Also, the bathrooms could do with an update.

The rental unit was not as inviting as some of the other units we’ve stayed at. The cabinet doors under the sink was nailed shut so there was no dish drainer or sponges available. There was also no simple pantry items like salt or pepper present. My wife did not realize that the hanging bathroom towel had blood stains on it until after she used it. Also the stopper in master bathroom sink was non functional. We will come back, but not choose this unit.

At 6 years in a row, my family and are still newbies when it comes to Sand Cay vacations - we have a long way to go to catch up to "Mayor Patrick" and his 30+ years, but so far every year has been great and we look forward to coming back. Thanks, Sand Cay, and your beautiful property in paradise.

Sand Cay is a great resort with a very relaxed atmosphere. Everyone is friendly, great amenities.

This unit needs an upgrade and a deep clean

We typically stay at the Sand Cay Gulf Front units but due to Bidenflation this year we chose the Gulf View unit. #105 exceeded our expectations - it was bigger than expected (especially the bedrooms) and it still had a great view of the beach. We're hopeful to stay there again next year too. Thanks!

ONCE AGAIN OUR VACATION WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. WE LOVE UNIT 105 AND HAVE RENTED IT FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THE LOCATION IS PERFECT. FURNITURE WAS UPDATED, LOVELY AND COMFORTABLE.HOPEFULLY WE CAN RETURN .

Great week to be on Long Boat Key. #105 is on ground floor 1/2 block from the ocean.. fun at the pool too.

As usual, it was a great experience. Friendly staff, clean and well maintained environment.

This Condominium have a good apartments, Location is very good, close to beach, very quiet cleaning

For the 3 nights we were there, we were very satisfied with the experience. Easy walk to the beach, chairs and umbrellas provided, wonderful sunsets. A good place to unwind and relax.

Enjoyed staying at Sand Cay. The grounds are immaculate. The unit we stayed in was very clean but furniture could definitely be updated. Leather chairs in TV room falling apart. If furniture was replaced would give 5 stars.

The rental was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The beach was close by and equipped with chairs. The pool was nice as well. We loved the place. The only disappointment was having major construction being performed on the unit while we were there. With the cost of over $500 a night, this was a shock. We had a small baby that needed to sleep and an online final exam to complete. We recommend scheduling this type of work when the unit is unoccupied.

Easy check in. Great location!! Our unit (105) could use some updating but overall it was anice unit.

This was our first time at Sand Cay. It was everything we had hoped and more. The unit is situated in a spot that is far enough away from the pool close enough to be convenient. The view is great! Even though it is first floor, we were able to see the beautiful gulf every day. The unit provides a nice patio with tables and chairs and the interior was clean upon arrival and provided everything necessary for a wonderful stay. It was important to us to have comfortable furniture and we were not disappointed. Updates have been made which made it very comfortable. We already booked for next year.

Our family of 4 enjoyed our week in unit 105, mornings spent drinking coffee on patio & evenings watching the stars come out. Unit was clean on arrival, a little dated but comfortable, master king bed mattress needs to be replaced!! It was nice to have washer & dryer in unit!! Kitchen stocked nicely, bath & beach towels nice quality. Property grounds well maintained, grills nice, beach beautiful!!

We loved our stay at the Sand Cay Resort on Longboat Key. It was our first visit to this beach and we loved every minute. The staff was wonderful, the amenities perfect for our needs and the beach just steps away. The unit was clean and had plenty of dishes, although it would have been nice to have a can opener and cutting board. The beach has a bit too many shells for our liking, although on our last day there someone came and tilled the sand which help. The sand is great, it’s just that there is a shelf where the water meets the shore that shells get stick behind o your walk into the first few feet of the water is painful because of the shells. After that the water is clear and sand perfect. Not a deal breaker by any means but if you have sensitive feet you may want to bring some water shoes with you. Thank you Sand Cay for a great family beach vacation!

Very enjoyable. Room 105 had german roaches which were reported to office. a total of about 5-6 were killed during our stay. the management was concerned however, we did not make it an issue. Overall the room was very nice and we have rented it again for next year. extermination was scheduled after we departed.

Location is great. Grounds are great. Staff is great. Unit could use a little more TLC.

Condo was perfect for our group of six. Nice bottom floor condo with plenty of room. Kitchen small but very nice. Beach very close but can"t actually see it. Would come back again.

I had to clean the A/C filter. Evidently not on the maintenance schedule.
