We had a great stay The staff is outstanding The beach is big and clean ad private

Experience was generally good but there were four days of loud and disruptive maintenance. It was difficult for our two babies to nap due to loud drilling and hammering noises and walkways, ramps and stairwells were blocked so we had to drag suitcases and baby’s thru grassy areas to get to the pool or to our vehicle. Our unit compared to a Marriott or Hilton hotel room was not as clean. Carpets, bedsheets and some furniture really showing their age. Would stay here again but in a better unit. Mgt worked with us and gave us a discount which was really appreciated.

Sand cay is always a great choice in longboat! #201 is lovely!

This was our second year staying at Sand Cay, first in unit 102. We don’t have enough good things to say about the resort- clean facilities, nice pool, immaculate beach and beach loungers provided. Unit 102 was perfect for our family. Had everything we needed and very comfortable beds! Plenty of space for our pack n play. We loved being steps from the beach! It’s a real dream.

This is our 2nd time staying in 102. The unit is well equipped and I like that there are 2 separate seating areas, both well lit. An easy walk to the beach.

The apartment is cozy, very comfortable, clean. The condo is very family friendly and peaceful. We had a lovely time.

We had a great time beautiful weather. The unit was perfect for us. We will be back.

The perfect setting; lovely condo. Furniture needs deep cleaning; beds are very comfortable and overall a comfortable space. Very nice staff and accommodating to any need you may have. The beach is breathtakingly beautiful and clean; pool is fabulous and refreshing! All in all will be returning! A real treat!

This place at the beach was amazing! Easy first floor access right out to the beach with spectacular views. Sunsets were incredible.Condo is clean and spacious with comfy beds. Location is perfect--very quiet and peaceful-yet you can get to Sarasota or Anna Maria Island easily. Dry Dock and Waterfront Grill were delicious! Heated pool was lovely. Thank you to all the staff!

When we arrived, easy to ck in staff helpful. Room was great plenty of room. It was clean and comfortable. The access to the beach was so nice sidewalk or grass. Everything worked well. We even did laundry before we left. I would recommend it and will be returning.

It was great. We have been coming for years. Everything is always perfect. I would highly recommend Sand Cay Beach Resort.

Perfect location on a beautiful beach resort property. The unit was nicely furnished and well equipped and very comfortable. Beautiful sunsets from the patio or on the beach. Already planning for the next visit!

Love that they’re a 2 seating areas! Very well appointed.

The unit can not be more convenient to get to and from the beach. Simply open the sliding glass door , walk along the grass area, and the gulf is right there at your feet. Our favorite spot was definitely the small terrace—coffee in the mornings and late afternoon snacks.

I have been here before but in a different unit. I would like to say that I just love it here. This unit needs some deep cleaning. The furniture and rugs were stained. There were pieces of children's toys under the couches along with empty water bottles. More pieces outside in the grass and patio. Mildew in the showers. I talked with the people in the office about this and they were extremely nice and tried to send someone to tidy up but we declined. We were not mad, just wanted to let them know that with what is charged for cleaning, it should have been very different from this. Things happen, we understand. Have already booked our next stay. (in a different unit)

So plleade understand that no matter what you read in my review, please know I would rent this place in a heartbeat! The bad: Honestly there are only three knocks on this unit. #1: the ceilings in this unit need to be replaced. There was water marks in almost each room, but especially in the second bedroom. I even had water drip on my arm at one point. For the location and cost of unit I wouldn’t expect to see that. #3: The patio pavers are not secured, and falling off. Easily someone could twist an ankle. Again for location and cost of unit I expected better. #2: Lack of beach gear for use of renters. Maybe I have been spoiled by other units, but there was only one beach chair. Now there are plenty on beach located on property, just none for us to use when we went elsewhere. The good: #1: Location, location, location! We loved being just south of the busy area, but close enough to use trolley. Traffic is an issue in this area (45 minutes to go 10) but St. Armand’s was close by, and Sarasota. #2: the unit is so close to the beach, has views of stunning sunsets from patio#3: the beach is gorgeous, not busy and a shell collectors heaven. #4: Sand Cay is a beautiful complex, with pool, tennis courts, and Shuffle board. The ladies in the office were awesome with local recommendations for good and kayaking.

My husband and I enjoyed everything about our stay in 102 at Sand Cay. This is our second year staying at Sand Cay. We love Longboat Key and this is a very reasonable place to stay. It was clean, close to the beach and local stores and resuarants. The beach isn’t crowded!!The confo is nicely decorated and comfortable! The pool is really nice and the office staff is friendly and very helpful. We plan on coming back to Longboat and Sand Cay next year! It was a wonderful break from the Ohio winter!!

This is an incredible place with a perfect mix of sun, sand and fun.

this was my 2nd year at Sand Cay and my god has been an amazing mini vacation. We have chosen Sand Cay to be our Family Reunion place for the up coming years.Best place to stay but which we can get lower rates

Our 2nd summer at Sand Cay and loved it! Unfortunately red tide sort of spoiled the vacation but we tried to make the most of it. The unit was clean but I would suggest some spot cleaning on carpet/sofa. Additionally one of the bathrooms has a mildew scent that should be looked at. Overall- highly recommend.

Sand Cay is wonderful! Unit 102 has an amazing location/view and is very comfortable and tastefully decorated. We would come back to Unit 102 as often as we are able. The Sand Cay amenities and staff are wonderful and helped make our stay perfect

Beautiful beach view, just steps from a gorgeous beach! The condo was very nice, kitchen had all the pots & pans & utensils needed to cook your own meals. We hope to return in the future & will rent this exact room again!

This was a family vacation with our 2 and 4 year old children. The unit was perfect for our family with plenty of room. Sand Cay was an ideal location - the beach is beautiful and our family loved the pool. We have been traveling to Longboat Key for many years, but this was our first time at Sand Cay. We can’t wait to return next year.

Great location, comfortable beds, washer/dryer in unit was nice. Kitchen cabinets and drawers contents could use an update.

We loved Sand Cay Beach Resort in Longboat Key Florida! It’s a wonderful facility and Unit 102 is our personal favorite - so comfortable, close to the beach and pool, great views and tastefully decorated. Sand Cay will be our vacation choice for many years to come. All our family enjoyed it as there was something for everyone. Office staff were very friendly and helpful! A total vacation package

We always love our stays at Sand Cay and have stayed in many different units over the years. I think 102 might be our new favorite though! We only stay on the ground floor because all the units have a washer and dryer in them.

Sand Cay 102 is a nice retreat with amazing views and amenities galore. pleasant decor with tile throughout except in bedrooms. Bathrooms are decent but need updates. Kitchen is really nice but could use a cleaning. Bedrooms are comfortable but carpets and walls need cleaning. Storage room has washer and dryer with beach toys, puzzles, fishing poles, umbrellas, iron/board.Loved the small pool and beach with great chairs!Quiet location that was perfect for our family of four. Memories made with Grandparents, Mom, and granddaughter!Head to St Armand’s and Ana Maria for family fun. Oma’s pizza is yummy. Fishing Hole Mini Golf is so fun!

We had the most wonderful holiday in Sand Cay for Easter. The apartment was right on the sea front with breathtaking views!! The bed was the most comfortable bed we ever slept on. We took full advantage of the BBQ area with friends and family enjoying the most stunning sun sets! We cannot wait to return and could not recommend it more highly!! Thank you for an amazing trip!
