If you and your family love Christmas decoration and lights, make sure to visit the Longboat Key Island Chapel for their “Christmas in the Garden” even. There’s a special music performance, starting at 6pm on December 22nd, so make sure that you don’t miss it. You can find more details here.
Selby Lights in Bloom, an Open-air Holiday Light Show
The Light Show will feature more than two million lights illuminating the gardens and walkways. This is a perfect opportunity for some holiday photos, for your children to see some arts and crafts, take part in fun activities and entertainment. “Let it Snow” at Sailor Circus Arena
The nation’s longest running youth circus is presenting its “Let it Snow” event. See how young circus artists fly, flip and soar to incredible heights. If you’re a big fan of circus shows and circus acrobats, this is a place to be! The show is running from December 26 – 30 in the Sailor Circus Arena. Additional information can be found here.
We Need a Little Christmas @ Asolo Repertory Theatre
Asolo Repertory Theatre rings this holiday season with a concert under the start for the whole family. It’s an open-air venue and previews started on December 17th. The concert runs through January 3, 2022 so make sure that you don’t miss it. Details on the events and tickets is available here.

“My husband and I had a great time at Sand Cay. This unit seems to have been remodeled and is in great condition. It’s not a full ocean view, but it was just enough to sit on the balcony and have breakfast watching the water. That’s all we needed. The unit had some beach gear, which we found very useful. We would stay in this unit again.
We had a wonderful time. The unit was clean and updated. The furniture was very comfortable. There were plenty of towels. It was nice to have beach towels supplied.
The unit we stayed in was well kept and the view of the beach was amazing. The property was clean and staff was helpful in providing information and loaning us some beach umbrellas. Everything went smoothly. We will keep this property in mind for future beach vacations.
Beautiful, updated rental space with plenty of space for the whole family to spread out but have lots of quality time together. The gardens are beautiful and feel like a tropical escape and the pool is surprisingly large. Can’t beat the location to the beach and our unit came fully stocked with lots of beach toys. It was exactly what our family needed to relax and unwind.
This was our 9th visit to Sand Cay on Longboat Key. We love the location and beach access! It is a calm, peaceful setting for a great getaway vacation!”
